Lost & Found

Liability of Lost Property

  • Lost property found in the metro premises or in the train must immediately be reported or handed over to the concerned staff.
  • If a customer leaves behind any property in the metro premises or train, MMMOCL will do its best to return it to the customers. However, MMMOCL will not be responsible if the lost property is not found.

Ownership

  • Lost property found in the metro premises or inside the train shall not be regarded as the belonging of the passenger who finds it and will be stored with the MMMOCL's Lost and Found Centre.

Security Check

  • All property found in the Mumbai Metro line 2A & line 7 trains or its premises, or if handed over by a customer shall undergo a baggage screen check by the security department. The security department has the right to open it and examine it before storing it.
  • The Metro Operator, without being liable, may remove or dispose any property which in its opinion can cause damage, injury or inconvenience to people. MMMOCL reserves the right to dispose perishable goods immediately.

Retrieval

  • If a passenger has lost any property in the train or in the Metro premises, they must immediately report the same to the Customer Care staff at any of the Metro stations and register a complaint.
  • Alternatively, the customer can also contact the Customer Care office through mail/by phone/in person to report the lost property.

Disposal of Lost property

  • All perishable items will be disposed immediately or at the end of the operating hours, based on the discretion of the MMMOCL Staff.
  • All unclaimed articles will be stored for a maximum period of 6 months by MMMOCL at the Lost & Found Centre.
  • At the end of 6 months, all unclaimed goods will be donated to a charitable organisation identified by MMMOCL.
